Evaluation Q7

Q1: How does your opening sequence represent particular social groups?

In my opening scene there will be only 2 characters. One of the characters is going to be the main character in my film and opening the character is a female, she looks like a young innocent girl/lady. She will be around 5ft6/7 and she will have brunette hair this goes against the typical pretty blonde innocent girl you would find in thrillers. The other character in the opening is the villain he is going to be a black big male (6ft) preferably having a bony face as it adds to the creepiness about his character.
The villain in my opening will wear very dark/black colour clothing, with black leather gloves. The victim in my opening will wear pyjamas and then she’ll wear casual clothing this shows the audience she is an ordinary person so that the audience can relate with the film. During scenes when the girl is getting hurt by the villain there will be high angled shots facing down so that the victim looks weak and venerable.
I would like my villain to look like Denzel Washington but if possible a little bonier as Denzel Washington maintains a serious character and I have seen him feature in a thriller movie ‘De ja vu’. The victim in my film would look a little like the actress Jessica Alba as that is the look that will suit that role the best.

Production Company Ident (FINAL)

We have chosen this as our ident becuase it is unique and very prefessional. Control to us as a group means that it makes the audience  feel safe as their watching the movie. It also shows that we had full control of the making of the film such as editing, filming etc.  The background of the picture is dark and represents the genre we are dealing with, whereas the front of the picture is vibrant to show there is some sort of thrill in the movies they produce. The text in general maintains a professional font to show that the production company keep there movies looking professional.

Title of Film and Meaning

Title of Film and Meaning
Lucid
It comes from the idea of lucid dreaming as my final film idea is based around a young girl having a dream; rather more a nightmare and wakes up then notices events from her dream occurring in reality.

What is lucid dreaming?
A lucid dream is a dream in which you know you are dreaming. Typically this happens when the dreamer experiences something strange, and when they stop to question their reality, they realize they are in a dream. Lucid dreams happen naturally on occasion, although some people may have them naturally more often than others. The definition of lucid dreaming may be simple, but there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding it.
